346. Editorial Note
On March 5, at Ankara, the United States signed bilateral Agreements of Cooperation with the Governments of Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan. These agreements had been developed pursuant to the declaration signed on July 28, 1958, by the governments participating in the Baghdad Pact Ministerial Council session at London. The text of the agreement with Pakistan is printed in 10 UST 317. The Department of State issued a press release on March 5 which explained the background of these bilateral agreements; for text, see Department of State Bulletin, March 23, 1959, pages 416–417.
