PE–31. Editorial Note

A controversy arose in Peru over possession by the Texas Petroleum Company in Peru of aerial photographs of Peru received from the United States Government without clearance from the Peruvian Government. The problem was taken up by the Peruvian Chamber of Deputies and publicized in the Peruvian press. The Peruvian Government made representations to the American Embassy in Lima and fined the company.
