ES–4. Editorial Note
President Lemus of El Salvador made a state visit to the United States, March 9–21, 1959. On March 11, he had discussions with Acting Secretary of State Herter and President Eisenhower. Memoranda of these conversations are printed herein. On the same day, Salvadoran Foreign Minister Ortíz Mancía and Economics Minister Rochac met with Assistant Secretary of State Rubottom.
