EC–19. Editorial Note

In despatch 135 from Quito, September 26, 1960, the Embassy reported that students demonstrating over Ecuador’s border dispute with Peru stoned the U.S. Consulate General at Guayaquil and damaged a staff car on September 22. According to the Embassy’s report, the police intervened promptly.
