CO–6. Editorial Note
On March 14, 1958, the United States and Colombia signed at Bogotá an agreement, with accompanying memorandum of understanding and related exchange of notes, providing for the United States to finance the sale to authorized Colombian purchasers for pesos certain surplus agricultural commodities produced in the United States, under the provisions of Title I of the Agricultural Trade Development [Typeset Page 316] and Assistance Act (Public Law 480; 68 State 455), as amended. The agreement entered into force on March 14; for text, see 9 UST 351.
By an exchange of notes at Bogotá, July 31, 1959 and January 11, 1960, the United States and Colombia entered into an agreement providing for a grant by the United States to Colombia for the acquisition of nuclear training and research equipment and materials. The agreement entered into force on January 11, 1960; for text, see 11 UST 138.
On October 6, 1959, the United States and Colombia signed an exchange of notes at Bogotá, entered into force on the same date, constituting an agreement by which the United States would undertake to finance the sale to authorized Colombian purchasers for pesos certain surplus agricultural commodities produced in the United States, under the provisions of Title I of Public Law 480.
