President Eisenhower visited Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay, February 23–March 3. While in Brazil, February 23–26, he and Secretary Herter and Assistant Secretary Rubottom, who accompanied him, met with President Kubitschek, Foreign Minister Láfer, and other Brazilian officials.
