512. Embtel 445, 446.2 Please inform Turk and Iraqi group in Turkey we share deep concern on Syrian situation and appreciate their thoughts as to what might be done about it. Their messages being given most urgent consideration at highest level and we will be in further communication with least possible delay.

Leave to Ambassador’s judgment whether message to Iraqi should be conveyed through Turk PM or direct. No action on this message required Baghdad unless GOI officials there take initiative in presenting proposals to Embassy.
