In a memorandum of his conversation held with President Truman July 21, Acheson wrote: “I told the President the approximate dates of the meeting in Honolulu and the matters to be taken up on the agenda.” The remainder of the Secretary’s memorandum concerns discussion of speech plans and travel arrangements.
