Editorial Note

Beginning on June 16, Jean Letourneau, French High Commissioner in Indochina and Minister for the Associated States, visited Washington for 3 days of consultations which resulted in an agreement whereby the United States would provide up to $150 million in additional aid for fiscal year 1953 in support of the overall French effort in Indochina.
