On April 5, 1954, the House of Commons adopted an opposition resolution recognizing the threat to civilization posed by the hydrogen bomb and urging that the heads of government of the United [Page 1383] States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union meet to reconsider the question of regulation of armaments.
