1727. From Barbour. Reference circular Deptel June 25.1 I have not yet been able get in touch with responsible Soviet Foreign Office official to transmit message re emergency SC meeting on Korea. Minor employee on duty at Foreign Office has informed me that it is difficult to reach Gromyko2 on Sundays, and I have therefore asked to see Sobolev (head US section)3 and am how awaiting Foreign Office reply to this request.
