Cantel 1241. Embassy on October 28 instructed, telCan 736, October 26, orally give Chu Chang-wei Department’s reply and requested he convey it to President Li.

Chu thereupon informed Embassy that Li had now authorized him have Minister Foreign Affairs take up Indochina border question directly with French and that he would do so.

Strong
