181. Persistent rumor in Taiwan that top level Kmt conference in preparation there. Local officials vacating residences for exalted guests. K. C. Wu33 and Tao Hsi-sheng34 there now. Generalissimo expected. Constant rumors Generalissimo already in Taiwan but best information says still Yangtze anchorage although quarters at Sun-Moon Lake and Taipei have been prepared.
