614. Press today carries following New China News Agency item datelined Peiping April 13:

“Discussions Chinese Communist Party terms on basis (Mao Tsetung’s) eight points have been carried on through 12 days. During these 12 days two sides informally exchanged opinions respecting all types problems. As from today there was entry upon stage formal negotiations.”
