Communiqué Issued by the Four Delegations to the London Conference on Germany, June 1, 19481

The informal discussions on Germany between representatives of the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the three Benelux [Page 313] countries, which began in London on 23rd February and which, after a recess beginning on 6th March, were resumed on 20th April, have resulted in agreed recommendations over the whole field. These recommendations are being submitted for approval to the Governments concerned, as envisaged in the communiqué issued on 6th March. A report of these recommendations2 will shortly be made public.
