The following represents the points still under discussion with reference to the Italian peace treaty and with respect to the more important of which decisions will be required during the forthcoming Paris meeting (re Delsec 354, April 974). Decisions on some of these may facilitate agreement on others but we consider it would be desirable that all be discussed if not settled in Paris.

- Austro-Italian frontier (South Tyrol).

- Frontier between Italy and Yugoslavia (Venezia Giulia).

- Cession of the Dodecanese Islands to Greece and their demilitarization.
- 5.
- Italian colonies.
- 6.
- Human rights and elimination of Fascism.
- 7.
- War criminals.

- Military Clauses:
- 1.
- Restrictions on war material, together with demilitarized frontier zone.
- 2.
- Limitations to be imposed upon the Italian Navy.
- 3.
- Disposition of remaining units of fleet.
- 4.
- Verification commission (allied inspectorate).
- C.
- Economic and Financial Clauses:
- 1.
- Reparations.
- 2.
- Other economic clauses which have been postponed pending decision upon reparations.
Department is in possession of full information as to the various positions taken with respect to the foregoing issues but summaries can again be telegraphed if desired.
