I. Report of the Deputies

The Council heard and approved the Report of the Deputies.

II. Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Meetings

The Council approved the Minutes of the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th Meetings.

III. Italo-Yugoslav Frontier and Trieste

The Council reached agreement on the U.S. Delegation (C.F.M.(46) 186)38 with the following amendments:

(a)
The words “free State of Trieste” are replaced by the words “free territory of Trieste”;
(b)
At the end of paragraph 3, after the words “… Conference of Twenty-one Nations” the words “in accordance with the procedure adopted at the Moscow Conference” shall be added.
(c)
Paragraph 3, thus amended, shall become paragraph 5, and paragraph 5 shall become paragraph 3.
(d)
The wording of new paragraph 3 (former paragraph 5) shall come up for further consideration.
(e)
Paragraph 4 shall be amended as follows: “The permanent statute shall be submitted to the approval of the Security Council, which will report to the General Assembly of the United Nations, in accordance with Article 15 of the United Nations Charter”.

IV. Italian Colonies

The Council adopted the drafted Article proposed by the U.K. Delegation in document C.F.M.(46) 177,39 section A.

Agreement in principle was reached on the draft declaration proposed by the U.K. Delegation in the same document, Section B. The Council instructed the Colonial Committee to draw up the final text of this Declaration.

V. Date of the Peace Conference

The Council instructed the Deputies to examine how long it would take to complete preparation of the Peace Treaties in the event of the Council of Foreign Ministers completing its work during the next few days.

VI. Next Meeting of the Council

The Council will hold its next meeting on Thursday, 4th July, at 5 p.m.
