I. Report by the Deputies

The Ministers heard a Report on the work of the Deputies, submitted by the outgoing Chairman.

The Council agreed to restrict the Hydro-electric Experts’ terms of reference for the Mont Cenis district to a study of the guarantees to be given by France to Italy in respect to water supplies.

The Experts’ terms of reference would not include a study of the hydro-electric possibilities of the Mont Cenis plateau.

It was agreed that the Experts’ report would be submitted to the Deputies.

II. Austro-Italian Frontier

After studying the Report drawn up by the Committee of Hydroelectric Experts following the Austrian request for a minor rectification of the Austro-Italian frontier in the north-eastern section of the Alto Adige, the Council agreed that the request could not be regarded as constituting a minor frontier rectification as stated in the Austrian Federal Government’s aide-mémoire of 30th May, 1946 (C.F.M. (D) (46) 92).95

The Deputies would examine the question of the guarantees to be given to Austria by Italy regarding the railway between Eastern and Northern Tyrol, through Pusterthal.
