In a short plenary session, at which Mr. Molotov presided, the agreements concerning the revision of the Italian armistice terms were signed by the four Ministers (copy of revised terms attached).77
It was agreed that these were not to be made public until signed by the Allied Commander-in-Chief and the Italian Government.78
- There was no Record of Decisions for this meeting. In his telegram 2405, Delsec 513, May 16, from Paris, not printed, the Secretary reported to the President and the Acting Secretary about this brief meeting (740.00119 Council/5–1646).↩
- The Revision of the Italian Armistice Terms, as approved by the Council, was circulated as document C.F.M. (46) 95, May 16, 1946, p. 436.↩
- The agreement was, in fact, never signed; for additional documentation on this subject, see vol. v, pp. 825 ff.↩
