[CFB 4316.] Your White House No. 3237a received 0040 hours, Chungking time, August 12, delivered to Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs8 at 0110 hours, Chungking time, August 12, who immediately replied as follows:

“The Chinese Government concurs in change that you have made in transmitting reply to the Japanese Government on the terms of surrender under the Potsdam Declaration.”
