Mr. Alexander C. Kirk, Political Adviser, Allied Force Headquarters,47 to the Secretary of State

1242. OSS48 reports that General Velebit49 stated on March 28 during informal discussion of plans for occupation of Austria and in reply to a question whether Yugoslavs would occupy Villach and [Page 1314] Klagenfurt after Nazi collapse, that Yugoslavs would occupy both these places as “they belong to Yugoslavia.” In addition, Yugoslavia intended to occupy certain “enemy territory”.
