6315. Cornea 296. For Erhardt. US delegation EAC has studied intensively Gen McNarney’s recommendations rearrangements for Vienna (urtel 4933, June 19⁷³) and consulted Generals Flory and Snavely in detail. Preliminary consultation UK delegation showed Brit intention introduce several subsidiary issues all requiring reference to Moscow. Prolonged consultations UK and French delegations reduced principal new issue to provision of 3 airdromes.

Today Mosely made detailed review Austrian issues with Soviet delegation. Soviet delegation referring to Moscow tonight proposal for 3 airdromes. EAC meeting Saturday⁷⁴ morning on Austria.
