ACTIVATION OF SPECIAL PROCEDURES BRANCH

1.
In accordance with instructions of the Director of Central Intelligence, and pending formal authorization, a Special Procedures Branch within the Office of Special Operations was activated effective 1 January 1948.
2.
The Chief, Special Procedures Branch, will draft an appropriate amendment to S.O. Directive No. 18, setting forth the functions and responsibilities of the branch in detail, which, when approved and published, will supersede and supplant this directive.
3.
The Chief, Special Procedures Branch, will be directly responsible to the Assistant Director for Special Operations.
