Department’s 3222, December 24.4 Swiss note January 4 states Swiss Legation, Berlin, reports Minister Albrecht of German Foreign Office stated December 31 not yet able comment reports concerned. Legal Section, Foreign Office, has likewise been unable to so far give consideration this matter. Appears for present to involve only threats in field political propaganda [Page 1228] but not yet possible verify degree to which these press radio statements correspond to attitude German authorities.
