ReDepts 2205, September 14, 7 p.m.57 We have given the Foreign Office a memo regarding the representation of American interests in enemy and enemy-occupied territory by the Swiss Government stating that the United States Government assumes the Soviet [Page 1206] Government will not object to the continuance of this representation in areas occupied by Soviet forces until the arrival of United States representatives.58
