General Wilson has now sent instructions to Lieutenant Colonel Barnes that there is no objection to his meeting Von Lanz but he is not to discuss terms of surrender. Purpose of such a meeting would be to arrange evacuation of a senior German officer to AFHQ to receive surrender terms.
