The Department of State to the Swiss Legation

Memorandum

The Department of State refers to its memorandum of February 4, 194313 to the Legation of Switzerland in charge of German interests regarding the transfer of the German consular officials from North Africa, who are in Great Britain, from the quarters which they were occupying in January to quarters that will compare favorably with the Legation’s description of the quarters occupied by the United States officials at Baden Baden.

The Department is informed that arrangements were completed on February 6 to transfer the German consular officials to a first-class hotel on the afternoon of that day. The Legation of Switzerland will be informed when confirmation of that transfer is received.14
