A–84. Referring to Department’s telegram no. 606 of August 7, 11 p.m. and instruction no. 494 of August 1545 regarding shipments of Isle of Pines grapefruit it is desired that War Production Board grant exemption from Order M–63 immediately for 8,000 crates to leave Habana August 26 on last voyage of one Seatrain vessel. Refrigerator cars for this purpose already are in Habana. Prompt action essential in order that fruit may be in Habana for loading before date mentioned. Cuba Representative War Shipping Administration46 concurs in this recommendation.
