The Minister in Iran ( Dreyfus ) to the Secretary of State

151. Following from Kuniholm.

“May 11, noon. Governor General, War Minister, Iranian and Soviet army officers returned last night from Rezaieh. Kurds have now ceased pillaging. Twenty-one mixed police posts each staffed by about 20 Soviet soldiers and officers and 3 or 4 Iranian gendarmes to be established at once between Rezaieh and Khoi to protect settled localities. Soviets have agreed tentatively to dispatch of one Iranian regiment from Tehran to Rezaieh. No disposition here to grant concessions to Kurds who have no just complaints. Some of pillaged property has found its way to Iraq.[”]
