Memorandum of Conversation, by the Secretary of State
The Iranian Minister called at his request and emphasized his request heretofore made in behalf of his Government for a military mission from this country to come to Iran, including a qualified expert in transportation and an outstanding businessman. He said that the work of all these types of Americans would be a fine thing for the United Nations cause, especially for closer relations between our two countries. I expressed keen interest in all phases of this suggestion and assured the Minister that I would give the matter sympathetic attention.
