543. German Commission has started control of commercial vessels arriving in port. On Dakar convoy all soldiers disembarked immediately on ships coming alongside quays paraded and were inspected [Page 339] by Commission. Ships’ officers much annoyed by arbitrary manner in which this complete control exercised.
Repeated to Algiers, by courier to Tangier.
