793.94/16543: Telegram
President Roosevelt to the President of the Chinese Executive Yuan (Chiang Kai-shek)
Washington, March 28,
1941.
I wish to express my appreciation of your telegram of March 1826 which contains an inspiring expression of the splendid morale and confidence of the Chinese people. Their unimpaired spirit, notwithstanding their burdens and sacrifices, stimulates and reinforces the confidence of free peoples everywhere that with resolute determination and cooperation on the part of those who are committed to it the cause of freedom and justice will unquestionably prevail.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
