4. Referring to the reports that the Japanese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs had rejected the Netherlands statement concerning the incorporation of the Netherlands Indies into the new order ii East Asia, Yoshizawa, the head of the Japanese delegation in Batavia has just issued the following statement:

“With regard to the report carried by Domei on the third instant concerning Vice Minister Ohashi I have just received an official telegram contradicting the information contained in such report.”

Repeated to Tokyo.
