366. Your 574, March 23, 9 p.m. Department is informed by Justice that Gorin paid his fine of $10,000 in addition to costs amounting to approximately $1400 in cash upon his release. The suspension of his fine was never requested nor considered. We shall continue here to press upon the Ambassador the importance of the release of all American citizens and the granting of permission for the wives and children of American citizens to leave the country.
