Department’s 1303, December 20, [1941,] 3 p.m. A note has been received from the Foreign Office stating, in response to the Embassy’s communication regarding Lieutenant Taecker, that “the competent Soviet authorities have no objection to the assignment of Lieutenant C. H. Taecker as Assistant Naval Attaché to the Embassy in Kuibyshev and deem it possible to allow him a temporary stay in Vladivostok with observance of the conditions stipulated in the above mentioned note of the Embassy.”
