The Minister in Iran ( Dreyfus ) to the Secretary of State

276. Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs52a informs me that Iranian Military Mission in the United States has arranged with Curtiss Company for a technical expert now in Australia to come to Iran to study the possibilities of manufacturing pursuit planes in this country with American equipment.

He stated that the plan now lacks only the authorization of the Department and requested the good offices of the Legation to obtain it. The foregoing is transmitted for the Department’s information and any comment it may wish to make.
