The Legation learns from a high British military source that Italian entry into war within next few days4 is feared in which event no immediate land offensive against Egypt is expected but aerial attacks on Alexandria and Port Said and possibly Cairo would be anticipated. Impression given that British military here is less confident of ability to maintain adequate defense than was the case heretofore.
