Francisco Alves Dos Santos, a Director of the Banco Commercial of the State of Sao Paulo, has been appointed today by President Vargas Director of Exchange of the Bank of Brazil and will take over his new office on Monday. He is well known to the Embassy and informed me confidentially that the new exchange policy would be put into effect immediately.
