Consulate’s 294, September 14, 8 p.m.39 The Council this afternoon passed a resolution40 authorizing the British Government to proceed with a study of the British proposal for the partition of Palestine, it being understood that the British Government would submit a report to the Council and that the Council reserved its position on the substance of the question. Text of resolution will be mailed.
