“November 20, 4 p.m. Referring to the Embassy’s telegram November 9, 11 a.m. to Canton.
Yunnan having its own monetary system independent of the Central Government, this province is not affected by the nationalization of silver and there has been little comment engendered thereby. Yunnan silver currency continues to circulate”.
