Department’s telegram of June 13, 3 p.m.2 Under instructions of Prime Minister now attending Cabinet meeting in Melbourne, his Secretary today telephoned from Canberra inquiring whether I had received the Department’s reply to the Australian trade proposal and requested me to ascertain for telegraphic information as to probable date of receipt which he hoped might be in the very near future as Cabinet is now considering such matters.
