129. My 125, October 12, noon. In view of Italian Minister’s condition the Emperor has decided to permit him to remain until the expected consular agent arrives which should be in a few days. Vinci and his Military Attaché occupy a house which was put at their disposal on October 12th.
I cannot speak too highly of the police protection afforded him throughout this deplorable incident and the consideration and dignity with which he has been treated by the authorities.
