127. My 126, October 12, 5 p.m. Another special train was provided for the Italian Minister at 10 o’clock this morning but again he refused to go.
I am reliably informed that Vinci had a nervous breakdown and threatened to commit suicide. He is reported to have said that he felt largely responsible for the apparent failure of Italy’s policy in Ethiopia.
