77. While complete information still lacking here regarding events Germany following observations may be made:

- Noticeable decrease bombing outrages.
- 2.
- Austrian frontier guarded against influx fleeing National Socialists.
- 3.
- Government feels policies regarding Nazis and Germany vindicated by events and Chancellor has declared stronger action will be taken against terrorists.
- 4.
- Developments Germany real blow to Austrian Nazi movement.
- 5.
- Austrian press generally opinion that National Socialism and Hitler both have lost tremendously in prestige.
- 6.
- Position Chancellor and Government in my opinion much strengthened.
- 7.
- Situation here entirely quiet.
