My 194, March 30, 5 p.m.38 It is understood that the French Ambassador has addressed a note to the German Government asking to be advised whether or not that Government is prepared to pay interest at the rate of 4 percent on the deferred reparations obligation. French Treasury officials say that as soon as a reply has been received action will be taken by the French Government on the draft agreement of the United States Treasury.
