Sir: Referring to previous correspondence concerning the objections of Grace and Company to a 25 per cent charge which had been imposed on launch services in the port of Buenaventura, and with special reference to my despatch No. 1056 of March 19, saying that I had taken up the matter informally with the Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs, I have the honor to report that the Minister of Hacienda has signed a decree temporarily lowering the tax on launches at Buenaventura from 25 to 15 per cent.
