88. Department’s 93, April 15, 6 p.m. In letter dated May 1, 1930, Foreign Office refers to the letter, dated April 16, 1930, sent [Page 399] by Sir Frederick Leith-Ross to the Austrian Minister (text of which was contained in Embassy’s 69, April 17, 3 P.M.), and states:
“Sir Frederick Leith-Ross, besides being Chairman of the International Relief Bonds Committee, is of course the representative of His Majesty’s Government on the Committee and the letter which he wrote was written with their authority and embodies their intention.”
