158. The American Minister in Tegucigalpa telegraphed me yesterday that the President of Honduras had just increased Honduran forces on the border from 30 to 70 men. The Minister stated that “vigorous pursuit of bandits in Honduras can be expected.”
I am withholding this information from the Government here pending receipt of instructions requested in my telegram 157, November 21, 11 a.m.
