Your 297, July 26, 2 p.m. and Department’s 426, July 29, 5 p.m. American Agent has expressed to Department orally his conviction of importance that there should be no interruption in the work of Joint Secretariat and Agencies. Department therefore suggests that you endeavor to obtain from Mexican Government favorable answer to paragraph numbered 3 of Department’s 402 June 20, 6 p.m. in addition to three points covered by Department’s telegram 426.
