[Received May 5—6:14 a.m.]
290. Mission’s 278 of May 2 and 286 of May 4. Rumbold with good grace has abandoned his opposition to participation in the work of the subcommittee by members of our Mission. Tonight9 he sent his legal expert to ask who would represent us in the meeting of legal experts tomorrow. Tentatively, I named Turlington. Now we shall be represented on all subcommittees dealing with matters in which we have an interest.
